Early on, Baddest Bess started out her quest for her Championship with a bang - a 5 point major by going Winners Bitch/Best of Winners/ Best of Opposite Sex over Specials from the Bred By Exhibitor class (see photo below). Then she went on to win Best Bred by Exhibitor followed up by a Bred by Exhibitor Hound Group 1 on the same day. This young girl just kept getting better. As her breeder and owner, we couldn't be more proud of this tremendous accomplishment by such a beautiful girl.
She was Best Puppy in Specialty Show at the 2010 RRCUS National Specialty! What an honor and an accomplishment! Bess has had several other Best Puppy in Specialty Show wins before but NOTHING could compare to her win at the 2010 RRCUS National Specialty in Ventura, CA. Bess won a huge class of 9-12 month old puppies and then went on to win Best Puppy in Specialty Show. It was a huge honor for us and plenty of good competition too. This year, Bess reigns as "top puppy" and we will enjoy her accomplishments and the memory of the huge National Specialty win!
2010 RRCUS National Specialty comments from Breeder-Judge Doreen Kent: "I had no problem finding this lovely young lady for the blue ribbon. I felt she was spot on female Ridgeback type. Gorgeous headpiece. Absolutely lovely. Poetry in motion."
Best in Sweepstakes winner at the Raisin River Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of Michigan Regional Specialty and Reserve to a 5pt major from the Bred By Exhibitor class- her very 1st time in the ring. This young girl just knows how to shine.
Bess is Pasia's daughter out of Buzz. It was fate that Baddest B ended up staying with us and we couldn't be happier. As a puppy, she was so much fun, into so much trouble and just very cute. Bess has already made her mark in the show ring for being so young. She is a girl with attitude and movement to beat.
At the Michigan Hound Association show she was Best of Breed and a Hound Group 2. At the Raisin River RR Club of Michigan Specialty, Bess wins Best in Puppy Sweeps under Breeder-Judge Heather Queener, 2 weeks later she wins Best in Sweeps under Judge David Samulsen at the Cuyahoga County Hound Association. Topping all of that off, in 2010 Bess won Best in Puppy Sweeps at our National Specialty under Breeder-Judge Doreen Kent. She is so much fun to show, never misses a beat and has had many successes in the show ring, all owner-handled.
Bess lives in Michigan with Marie and Marcin where she digs holes, jumps on the counters, is the best cuddler and sleeps under the covers. Bess always wants to be by my side and I wouldn't have it any other way.
